History

A 25 year old university student presents with a pigmented lesion on his heel. He first noticed this a few weeks ago but does not know long it has been there for. He has fair skin and there is a family history of melanoma (maternal aunt). He had a mole removed from his arm when he was 18 years old but there is no other medical history and no skin lesions of note anywhere else on general examination.
