History

A 28 year old primiparous woman presents at 36 weeks gestation with a 2 week history of an intensely itchy rash which began on her abdomen but then spread to her arms and thighs. The pregnancy has otherwise been uneventful, with normal antenatal ultrasounds and checkups. She has no past history of skin problems or atopy, is not taking any medication, and there has been no change of her diet.
