History
A middle aged woman presented with an 18 month history of a gradually
enlarging, erythematous, scaly eruption around the base of her left fifth
toe. This had been treated with various topical antifungal creams but
continued to spread. She had no history of diabetes or skin cancer, was
not immunosuppressed, and had no skin lesions anywhere else.
